
Development of Café Carl
Café Carl is a very popular destination during the summer months, and with the current operation we have reached our capacity limit. We have conducted a feasibility study, ”Glaskogens skafferi”, co-financed by the EU through Leader 7-sam, to explore how Café Carl can transition from a café into a fully-fledged year-round restaurant with conference and accommodation facilities, becoming a local meeting place where regional food traditions and ingredients can be showcased and promoted.
As part of the project, we have—through study visits, meetings with the public and various organisations, and with the help of consultants—developed a plan for the continued development of Café Carl, including architectural drawings for the next stage. We have also begun applying for the necessary permits. Within the next year or so, we hope to be able to welcome you to taste the food from our new restaurant kitchen.
